A friend and Colleague asked me whether I would consider creating a sculpture of one of his dogs. My friend being a board certified small animal surgeon meant that he knew the anatomy well and that I had my work cut out. I accepted the challenge, but I never worked harder to create a sculpture in clay than “Briar”. It was clear that I had asked several times for his expert opinion. I finally finished it after more than 100 hours.
