When we saw the famous painting “Zwei Blaue Fohlen 1911 (Two Blue Foals) by Franz Marc, a member of the “Blue Rider Group” at the Beyeler Museum in Riehen, Switzerland, my wife Anita inspired me to try to transform it into 3D. This was right up my alley. With this sculpture I tried to reduce the details and move more towards contemporary art. I was marginally successful.

In 2023 I selected this sculpture as maquette for the life-sized sculpture “Sister Act”. I took strategic measurements for the creation of the 7.5 times larger armature. This sculpture is presently cast at the Perseo Foundry in Mendrisio, Switzerland.
